Popular soccer boot silhouettes — Nike Magista Obra and the Opus — receive its latest update this season with a new lineage.
Revamped with a new thermoformed Flyknit or Kanga-Lite upper, the silhouettes delivers an enhanced lockdown fit and ultimate control in all conditions. The Obra in particular inherits a more anatomically contoured Dynamic Fit Collar, which essentially conforms to the shape of the ankle bone while leveraging a thicker knit structure for additional coverage.
For a more secure fit, an internal heel counter has been implemented, while a grip sockliner enhances in-boot stability and is part of the boot’s overall traction system. Additionally, the stud configuration of the soleplate has been tweaked through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) — a scientific testing of the optimal pattern per style of play.
Each rendered in a vibrant color scheme of Volt/Total Orange/Pink Blast-Black, you can find both pairs at the Nike Football App on July 24th, while an online release is set for July 26.
Retail price is listed at $230 – $300.
I’ve never bought soccer cleats, but, these offerings are pretty solid. I like the overall style and build. It blends performance and style nicely.
